What we review

We look at the species, growth pattern, nearby structures and how the work can be reached. A request to make a tree smaller needs particular care; excessive cutting or topping can create long-term problems. We discuss a suitable scope rather than assuming more cutting is better.

How we define the work

The estimate identifies the trees, intended clearance or pruning objective and the cleanup included. Roof, driveway and walkway clearance should be discussed with the actual tree in view. Seasonal timing and recent drought or damage can affect the recommendation.

Before and after your visit

For oaks, local oak-wilt prevention guidance matters. Avoid routine oak pruning from February through June and address fresh oak wounds promptly under current Texas guidance. If a tree has a suspected disease or structural issue, that concern needs assessment beyond a cosmetic trim.
