Replacement Tree Planting

Replacing a tree is an opportunity to choose a better fit for the space. We discuss why the previous tree was removed, the result you want and whether the original planting location still makes sense. The new tree does not always belong in the old tree’s exact spot.

What we review

Existing stumps, roots, utilities, drainage and room for mature growth all matter. We review any site preparation needed before planting. If stump grinding, soil work or debris removal is needed, it should be stated in the estimate rather than assumed.

How we define the work

Tell us your preferences for shade, screening and available space, and whether a replacement is tied to a property or permit requirement. We confirm the selected tree and agreed location before installation; required species or replacement sizes need to be known in advance.

Before and after your visit

Replacement planting and ongoing establishment are different responsibilities. Agree on watering, monitoring and any follow-up work before completion. A written scope makes it clear what is included in the planting and what the property owner will maintain afterward.
