Tree sealing needs the right context. We discuss the species, the type of wound and when it occurred before recommending a scope. Painting a wound is not a repair for decayed wood, a split trunk or a tree that needs a separate structural assessment.
Texas oak-wilt guidance calls for promptly painting fresh oak wounds throughout the year and avoiding routine oak pruning from February through June. That local prevention practice is different from treating every cut on every tree with sealant.

How we define the work
For an agreed oak-pruning project, discuss wound protection as part of the work before cutting begins. An older exposed wound needs its own assessment; applying a product later cannot undo a past exposure or guarantee protection from disease.
03
Before and after your visit
Tell us when the damage happened and whether it came from pruning, a storm or equipment. We explain the limits of the work and any need for further evaluation. No sealing service is a guarantee that a tree will heal, remain structurally sound or avoid oak wilt.
