Moss Remediation

If growth on a tree concerns you, we start by identifying what you are seeing and what you want addressed. Ball moss is common in Central Texas. It is an air plant, not a parasite, and its presence alone does not mean that a tree is unhealthy.

What we review

We review the affected area, the tree’s condition and safe access. Ball moss on dead limbs is not proof that it killed those limbs. A declining tree may have a different underlying problem that needs further assessment.

How we define the work

When removal is appropriate for the agreed appearance or maintenance goal, the scope identifies the areas and method to be addressed. We do not promise that moss removal will cure a declining tree or that all future growth will be eliminated.

Before and after your visit

Share a clear photo taken safely from the ground and note whether you have also seen leaf loss, broken limbs or recent changes. Avoid pulling growth or cutting branches yourself to prepare for our visit. Any chemical treatment would require a separate, appropriate review; it is not automatically included.
